We granted a writ of certiorari to review the court of appeals decision in K.S. by & through Seeger v. Richland Sch. Dist. Two, Op. No. 2022-UP-312 (S.C. Ct. App. filed July 27, 2022). We will review whether the court of appeals erred in (1) affirming the grant of a directed verdict to Richland School District Two (the District) on Petitioner's negligence claims and (2) creating a new, unfounded standard for mental injuries in negligence cases. We will also review whether the Safe Climate Act superseded the South Carolina Tort Claims Act and whether the circuit court erred in excluding Petitioner's expert witness.

We granted a petition for a writ of certiorari to review the court of appeals' opinion in State v. Davis-Kocsis, 436 S.C. 468 (Ct. App. 2022). Davis-Kocsis argues the trial court erred by (1) sentencing her for kidnapping under section 16-3-910 of the South Carolina Code (2015), and (2) admitting the recording of a 911 call in violation of Rule 403, SCRE.
