Re: Solicitor Drug Intervention Program for the Seventh Judicial Circuit

ORDER

Pursuant to the provisions of Article V, Section 4 of the South Carolina Constitution,

IT IS ORDERED that the Solicitor Drug Intervention Program for the Seventh Judicial Circuit has been approved.  The program is an intervention program that will have different requirements for first-time drug offenders than other preexisting pre-trial intervention programs in the Seventh Circuit.  The requirements and fees for the program will be maintained on the website for the Seventh Judicial Solicitor's Office as well as at the Solicitor's Offices in Cherokee and Spartanburg Counties and will comply with S.C. Code Ann. §§ 17-22-10 to -170 (2014 & Supp. 2018).  A case accepted under the Solicitor Drug Intervention Program must be a drug offense and will not count towards the pre-trial intervention program for non-drug offenses.

This Order takes effect immediately and remains in effect unless amended or rescinded by the Chief Justice.
