Re: Berkeley County Adult Drug Court Program

 


ORDER




Pursuant to the provisions of Article V, Section 4 of the South Carolina Constitution,

IT IS ORDERED that the Honorable Dale E. Van Slambrook, Master-in-Equity for Berkeley County, is hereby appointed to preside over the Berkeley County Adult Drug Court Program.  Pursuant to this appointment, Judge Van Slambrook may preside over guilty pleas, bond hearings, probation revocations, motions, and other proceedings related to the defendants participating in the Adult Drug Court Program for Berkeley County.  Further, Judge Van Slambrook may impose sanctions for violations of the conditions of the Berkeley County Adult Drug Court Program.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Honorable Keith W. Kornahrens, Sr., Probate Judge for Berkeley County or the Honorable Ellen L. Karesh, Berkeley County Chief Magistrate are hereby appointed to preside over the Berkeley County Adult Drug Court Program in the absence of Judge Van Slambrook.  Pursuant to this appointment, Judge Kornahrens or Judge Karesh may preside over guilty pleas, bond hearings, probation revocations, motions, and other proceedings related to the defendants participating in the Berkeley County Adult Drug Court Program.   Judge Kornahrens or Judge Karesh may impose sanctions for violations of the conditions of the Berkeley County Adult Drug Court Program.

This Order supersedes the Berkeley County Drug Court Order dated August 16, 2017, takes effect immediately and remains in effect unless amended or rescinded by the Chief Justice.
