The United States Department of Health and Human Services has posted to its website its annual update of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, which are used to determine indigency in the Circuit, Family and Summary Courts. The new figures listed below were published in the Federal Register on January 17, 2020. You may access these figures on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services site by clicking on the following link: https://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty-guidelines. The 2020 poverty guidelines are in effect as of January 15, 2020.
