Zelenka, and Assistant Attorney General Derrick McFarland, of Columbia, and Solicitor Robert M. Ariail, of Greenville, for Respondent. In this murder case, appellant contends the trial court committed reversible error by refusing to sever the murder charge from the trafficking in cocaine charge since there was not any legitimate or close nexus between the large amount of cocaine discovered in appellant's trunk during a traffic stop almost seven weeks after the murder, and the murder itself, and the undue prejudice of evidence of trafficking in cocaine warranted a severance.

In this civil action, Glenn E. Vanover alleges the circuit court erred in awarding Don and Jean Lucas $22,535 in property damage sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Specifically, Vanover argues the circuit court erred (1) in allowing Lucas to testify his vehicle was rendered a total loss, (2) in permitting an expert witness to testify to the extent of possible future repairs, and (3) in relying on evidence not properly admitted in determining the award of damages.

Creighton Waters, of Columbia, and Solicitor Randolph Murdaugh, III, of Hampton, for Respondent.
