Judge Salley Huggins McIntyre

Judge Salley Huggins McIntyre was born in Florence, South Carolina in 1969.  She is the daughter of the late Lacy Carl Huggins and Jean Daniel Huggins Berry.
In 1991, Judge McIntyre received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of South Carolina.  She obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1995.

Upon graduation from law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Lockemy for one year prior to entering into private practice with the firm Greene & Bailey.  She later became partner at Greene & Huggins in 1996, where she remained until her election to the family court bench by the South Carolina General Assembly in May 2011. 

Judge McIntyre has extensive civic and volunteer experience.  She has served as a member of the Dillon County Bar, Welvista Pee Dee Advisory Board, the South Carolina Paralegal Task Force, the South Carolina Young Lawyers Division, the Human Rights Committee of the Marion/Dillon Board of Disabilities and Special Needs, the Dillon Junior Charity League, the Dillon County Communities in Schools and the Dillon County Economic Development Partnership.  She has chaired the Gordon Elementary and South Elementary School Improvement Councils, Walk America, the Dillon County March of Dimes, the Main Street United Methodist Church Board of Trustees and Endowment Fund, and has served as President of the Dillon County Bar Association.  She has also served as Pro Bono Attorney for the Dillon County Guardian ad Litem Program, the South Carolina Bar, and served as Pro Bono Probate Court Judge for Dillon County.  In addition to serving as Mayor for the City of Dillon from 1999-2003, Judge McIntyre was voted Dillon County’s Best Lawyer in 2008, received the Elected Official Honor Award for Leadership and Dedication in the Field of Historic Preservation and won the Young Career Woman award.

A member of Main Street United Methodist Church, Judge McIntyre is married to Marty McIntyre.  They have four children, Davis, Mattie, Lacy, and Jasper.
