Re: Sumter County Acting Master-in-Equity Appointment
ORDER
Pursuant to the provisions of S.C. Const. art. V, § 4,
IT IS ORDERED that the Honorable Howard P. King is hereby appointed as the Acting Master-in-Equity for Sumter County due to the vacancy created by the passing of the Honorable Richard L. Booth. S.C. Code Ann. § 2-19-110 (2005). Judge King will serve as the Acting Sumter County Master-in-Equity until the vacancy is filled in the manner required by sections 2-19-110, 14-11-20, and 14-11-50 of the South Carolina Code (2017).
As Acting Master-in-Equity, Judge King shall have the rights, powers, duties and responsibilities of masters-in-equity pursuant to the laws of South Carolina. Further, Sumter County shall compensate Judge King in accordance with the mandates of section 14-11-30 of the South Carolina Code (2017).
This order takes effect immediately.
